Food Photography | When Cooking Goes Wrong

In cooking, as in life, things can turn into a disaster even when you have the best intentions. Kitchen disasters are just what inspired Serbian photographer Milica Mrvic.

Curious about her grandmother's cookbooks, Mrvic took a trip down memory lane and discovered many old recipes contained advice that would be mute today.

Inspired by what she considered ''weird tips'' for housewives, she put together a cookbook with recipes from the early 20th century. The twist? The food photography captures kitchen disasters and adventures in all their glory.

You'll see floating flour, exploding cakes and levitating soups in her book called Kulinarske Mrvice, which translates to Cooking Crumbs. It's really fun food photography which, ironically, makes cooking completely enticing.
