They say the first bite of any plate is taken with the eyes and it’s this philosophy that the Californian photographer Lawrie Brown plays with in her photo series, Colored Foods.
Brown takes every day food items and paints them ludicrous colours you would never expect to see. A project that makes way for strange plates of blue chicken, green corn and pink cereal.
It’s amazing how much a simple change of colour can totally alter your perception of an ingredient, taking normally tasty foods and rendering them instantly inedible.
