This Ape Builds a Fire, Starts a Fire and Cooks Its Own Food
Kanzi, the star of the video below, is a bonobo –  a great ape that has learned to build a fire, light that fire and even toast food on it. 
 
The bonobo is one of human’s closest relatives thanks to sharing over 90% of the same DNA and the surprising video below shows how they can learn complex tasks for themselves. 
 
Originally broadcast on the BBC, the video shows the ape as it sets about gathering and breaking wood for a fire, striking the matches needed to start the fire and finally toasting a massive collection of marshmallows on a stick.
