Zagat's Best and Worst Food Trends of 2014

Zagat has published a list of the Best and Worst Food Trends from 2014 with some surprising entries in both good and bad categories.

The guide had surveyed diners across the U.S. and asked them which food trends of 2014 they loved and hated, picking three for each.

In the hated department sour beer and, surprisingly, kale salad are both listed with the publication calling kale the ‘Taylor Swift of greens’ - predicting that perhaps 2015 will make way for other greens, such as spinach.

For the loved section wood-fire cooking comes out on top with the technique bringing out lovely smoky flavours that diners really seem to be appreciating. There’s also chicken for two and digital reservation/payment apps listed in the loved trends of the year.

Below you can see the list and you can read more details about each one on Zagat. You can also check this list of 12 trends for 2015.
