Tuscan Nights 2018: A Taste of Tuscany comes to Tel Aviv

Italian food fans are being treated to a series of “Tuscan Nights” at Tel Aviv’s Claro restaurant this month in an exciting menu collaboration from two leading chefs.

Michelin starred Italian chef Vito Mollica has taken leave from “Il Palagio” restaurant in Florence to join forces with resident Israeli chef and restaurant owner Ran Shmueli to transport diners to one of Italy’s most beloved regions with an exclusive Tuscan inspired menu.

The chef duo launched the menu at a special Acqua Panna sponsored dinner where hundreds of Israeli food lovers were treated to a taste of Tuscany in a spectacular line up of dishes like stone oven focaccia, Italian charcuterie, veal cheek vitello tonnato, burrata tortellini and bistecca alla Fiorentina with classic favourites like tiramisù transporting them to the heart of Italy.

And while the soul of the menu might be hundreds of miles away from the rolling Tuscan hills, chef Shmeuli’s "farm to table" philosophy still shines through in the sourcing of the raw materials. Many key ingredients on the menu have been sourced from a special farm in exclusive collaboration with the Isralei chef.

Be sure to book a table to sample some of Mollica’s best dishes which will remain on the menu until the end of the month.

In the meantime, here's a taste of what happened on the launch night.
