When an Inch Really Does Matter

It seems things are getting worse for the fast food sandwich chain Subway. Last week saw a number of disgruntled customers take to the web to complain that their foot long subs were in fact just 11 inches.

It all started after a customer measured his sub and posted a picture on the company's Australian Facebook page. From here a number of other people began to complain and now a lawsuit has been filled by Nguyen Buren from California.

The law suit claims that the company have engaged in a pattern of fraudulent, deceptive and otherwise improper advertising, sales and marketing practices.

The suit, which seeks $5 million from Subway, will be handled by attorney Tom Zimmerman who says he wants other people to join a class-action law suit against the sandwich makers.

In response to the allegations Subway said: "We have redoubled our efforts to ensure consistency and correct length in every sandwich we serve. Our commitment remains steadfast to ensure that every Subway Footlong sandwich is 12 inches at each location worldwide."
