Here's Your Chance to Visit and Learn in Japan

The British Hospitality Association is offering seven British chefs the chance to take part in an all expense paid trip to Japan to learn all about the country’s rich culinary heritage and traditions.

Called The Seven Samurai Chefs Tour of Japan, the tour will include seven days visiting Tokyo, Toba and Kyoto and organisers promise that lucky candidates will spend a “memorable week immersing themselves in Japan’s sublime cuisine and historic food culture”.

The seven lucky chefs will have lessons in sushi, sashimi and tempura making during their stay, alongside visits to Tokyo’s famous fish market, soy and ponzu sauce producer. The itinerary really does look special and what an amazing trip for any chef to undertake.

To enter, all chefs have to do is submit a picture of their signature dish with 100 words on why the tour will make a difference to their career.

Applications are now open and will run until November 25th.

Who knows if there will be a chance to copy Rene Redezpi and visit the famous Jiro Ono.
