They might look a little strange but the knives you see above and below are actually part of a new project to change the way we think about a chef’s knife.
They’re designed using special 3D printing technology and each one is moulded to match the hand of the person who is using it.
The makers say their unique handles make holding the knife much easier, more comfortable and that all this improves the way in which ingredients are cut. They say the ergonomic design of the handle on the knife also helps to reduce stress from prolonged use - something that all chefs know about well.
To order a knife, people must scan a picture of their hand, this allows the the company to then produce a handle that’s personalised.
