James Beard Foundation Debuts First App

The first-ever app developed by the James Beard Foundation features vegetable recipes from James Beard award-winning chefs like Thomas Keller, Daniel Humm, Grant Achatz, Alice Waters and Lidia Bastianich.

Titled the James Beard Foundation Vegetables, the app features step-by-step tutorials and short videos teaching users how to turn farmers' market finds into exciting gourmet dishes. It also offers chef anecdotes, built-in cooking timers, a shopping section and the ability to share your favorite recipes with friends. 

The app is available through iTunes and free to download for JBF members. Here are some of the 22 recipes included in the app:
