Chef Jacques Pepin to Receive Lifetime Achievement Award at Daytime Emmys

Influential chef, author and TV personality Jacques Pepin has been nominated for a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 46th Annual Daytime Creative Arts Emmy Awards.

It's will be the first time a culinary professional has received the award which "recognizes outstanding achievement in all fields of daytime television".

French-born Pépin, has been a regular on TV in both France and the USA since 1980, and considered one of the most influential TV chefs, appearing in a number of iconic TV series over the year. First co-starring with Julia Child in Julia and Jacques Cooking at Home,” before making  “Jacques Pepin: Fast Food My Way”, “Jacques Pepin: More Fast Food My Way” and "Essential Pepin."

Speaking of the award David Michaels, SVP and executive producer of the Daytime Emmys reflected on Pepins contribution: “Pépin’s body of work helped inspire not just millions of cooks at home, but also the myriad staples of culinary television we now see.”

Pepin will accept his award at the Creative Arts ceremony in L.A. on 3 May 2019.
