We recently brought you a nice look at different plating techniques and realised it’s something that many of you enjoyed. With this in mind we decided to bring you another collection of interesting plating tutorials but this time with a focus on saucing.
We’ve collected a range of videos from a number of different sources that tackle the many different techniques involved when saucing plates.
It might seem like chefs just throw sauces on to the plate with no real control, but it’s actually the opposite - a great chef knows many different ways to sauce, from strong lines to weak lines, classic straight to interesting side swipes.
If you want to plate like a pro, saucing is one of the fundamental techniques to learn, it’s also one of the easiest things to sit and practice at home. Whip up some sauce, stack a pile of clean plate and practice, practice, practice.
