Heston Blumenthal to Host Gourmet Ski Experience

Heston Blumenthal has teamed up with fellow Michelin starred chefs Sat Bains and Marcus Wareing to host a series of dinners in the Italian ski resort of Courmayeur.

The Gourmet Ski Experience will take over three days between February 2nd - 5th. Wareing and Bains will both prepare two dinners each using local wines and produce giving guests the chance to sample a true taste of the famous Alpine region. Blumenthal will not be cooking but will help to oversee menus and serve his own brew of special hot chocolate to skiers during the event.
On top of dinners there will be a number of other events including a wine tasting, themed lunches, grappa tasting and gourmet picnic on the slopes. Guests will also be given the chance to ski the famous Vallee Blanche and visit husky dogs in La Thuile.
Speaking about the event, Blumenthal, who explained that he started skiing around 7 years ago, said: "Courmayeur quickly became one of my favorite ski haunts as it offers such amazing hospitality in it's mountain restaurants, serving big plates of regional antipasti and bowls of homemade pasta." The chef added that he believes the region offers "great tasting rustic food and amazing wines".
Tickets are limited and anyone interested in attending the Gourmet Ski Experience should contact Momentum Ski using the email
