A city in China is offering up what could easily be described as one of the best jobs in the world with the chance for one lucky person to take a $50,000 paycheck to discover the cities most exciting cultural attractions and tweet about them.
The tourism board for the city of Hangzhou, 200 Kilometers from Shanghai, has posted a job asking for culture vultures with strong social media skills to spend one year spreading the news of the interesting cultural attractions within the city.
The winning candidate will feature in a promotional video and work as a ambassador for overseas tourists.
To apply people must register via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest and take part in a at least one of four online activities: "My Chinese Name," "My Hangzhou Costume," "My Hangzhou Recipe" and "My Hangzhou Love Story."
The winner will be chosen by the amount of social engagement their online profiles generate. Basically, the person with most likes, shares, tweets and follows will be given the job.
Food will surely play a big part in the role as the winning candidate, who will be announced next year, visits the city's best attractions and food spots. Unfortunately the winning candidate is not invited to spend the entire year in Hangzhoo just 15-days for a cultural tour - the rest of the job can be completed from anywhere.
The job has already attracted a huge amount of applicants with a number of foreign culture seekers hoping to bag one of the best jobs we've seen this year.
