Rumors of  Gwyneth Paltrow entering the restaurant business have been around for years and now the actress-cookbook author is one step closer to making them reality...kind of.

That's because Paltrow is one of eight investors who have contributed a total of $9.25 million to the expansion of Beefsteak, a vegetable-centric fast casual restaurant run by chef José Andrés, the Washington Post reports.

Beefsteak opened last spring in Washington, D.C. and serves an array of veggie bowls and a burger-type sandwich made with marinated beets - food that health-conscious Paltrow enjoys, according to Andrés.

It is not clear how much Paltrow invested but each investor had to contribute a minimum of $100,000, according to a filling with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The next Beefsteak is set to open in the University of Pennsylvania campus in Philadelphia this spring.
