A group of lucky competition winners will be given the chance to enjoy a Game of Thrones style feast at a special pop-up restaurant opening in London.
The Game of Thrones pop-up is an official restaurant organised by HBO to promote the launch of the show’s fourth season on Blu-ray.
The ‘epic banquets’ are set to take place over three days between Friday 13th and Sunday 15th February at the Andaz Hotel on Liverpool Street, London.
Called ‘All Men Must Die’ and created by the Wandering Chef catering company, the banquets will centre on a secret small council meeting in King's Landing with courses created to reflect those witnessed during the show.
The Independent reports that one dish, titled: ‘The Lies of Tyrion Lanninster and his Proclaimed Innocence, contains poached veal tongue with beetroot, horseradish and oldtown mustard.
George Raymond Richard Martin’s dramatic series of books, A Song of Ice and Fire, attracted serious attention in 2011 when they were adapted by HBO into the now hugely popular Game of Thrones television series. The pop-up restaurant promises to transport fans into one of the many scenes from the series in which characters are seen devouring huge feasts - let’s just hope they don’t serve the raw horse heart eaten by Daenerys Targaryen in Season one.
