This Full English Breakfast Slow-Cooker Recipe Has 1.8 Million Views

A English woman’s excessive breakfast prep has gone viral after she posted a recipe for a full English breakfast cooked overnight in a slow-cooker.

Madness, right? Correct! The post for the recipe has been shared over 30,000 times and BBC news spent a day with the creator, Sonia Cheetham, who said she was shocked by the response and that it was just a quick hack intended to save time in the morning. Their video was viewed 1.8 million times on Facebook alone.

So, how's it done? The recipe sees the different ingredients separated into mugs, one mug for mushrooms, one for beans and one for tomatoes. The sausages and bacon are stood up, touching the edges for browning and the even the eggs are cooked with butter in their own mug. This is all left to cook for about 8-9 hours overnight.

The toast and the tea are the only parts of the breakfast not cooked in the slow-cooker. This has to be the most ambitious, absurd and perhaps even a little genius, slow-cooker idea ever proposed.

People really do love that whiff of bacon in the morning. We can’t help imagining this scene from The Office.
