In July 2013 we brought you the news that chef David Chang would be appearing on a new hip-hop album from Deltron 3030.
The chef who, famous for running the Momofuku Noodle Bar in New York, laid down some samples (we think that's what the kids say these days) with the hip-hop group that formed back in 2000. For the track Chang speaks, rather than raps, about what he thinks food in the year 3040 will be like.
The track is titles The Future of Food and features the chef talking about the 'Rakacycle' - a machine that gives people the most delicious foods at the press of a button, caviar, t-bone steak even anti-inflammatory fish and strawberries simulations created from a piece of gum in the mouth and a microbe releasing tube in the nose.
Chang's predictions are set to some pretty big beats and although the track is a little comical - who knows - maybe there is some truth in his predictions of a time when we can have whatever food we want at the click of a button.
Here's a sample of David Chang in The Future of Food.
