Do Chefs Have to Taste Their Own Food?

Collaborative Cooking is a new project involving chefs, designers, programmers and hackers - asking the question, can chefs cook together without direct communication.

Controlling 35 different ingredients including meat, vegetables and a number of seasonings. Five chefs are allowed to take control of a cooking machine remotely, allowing each one to add their chosen ingredients to pot which slow cooks for around 10 to 20 hours.

It’s an interesting idea to follow and apparently came after a question posed to one of Sweden’s top chefs. Do you always have to taste your own food? Answer? Not as long as I have cooked it myself.”
