You know we love a good response to a bad restaurant review online - we’ve covered our fair share. The latest to catch our eye is this rather detailed response from a cafe owner in York who responded to a one-star review on TripAdvisor after a customer questioned the price she had to pay for a cup of hot water and a slice of lemon.

The reviewer, who says she was out on a tight budget with friends, said that the £2 she was charged for a cup of hot water and a slice of lemon was just too much, especially because her friend’s slice of cake only cost £1.90.
