There's no doubt Brazilian chef Alex Atala is makes great impact as a public speaker. He's stunned audiences by kiling a chicken on stage and feeding ants to the crowd. Now, we there's a video of the chef serving exotic Amazonian food to UCLA students.

Earlier this year Atala participated in the university's Science and Food lectures and it wasn't until now that the video from his presentation was made available to the public. In under 20 minutes, the chef captivates viewers by talking about how culture determines what is edible. He also questions what the worlds ''primitive'' and ''modern'' actually mean when it comes to food.

For shock value he asks the audience if it's disgusting to eat vomit. ''How can you explain honey?'' He uses this approach to introduce ants and pineapple, a dish he serves at his Sao Paulo restaurant D.O.M., which ranks 6th in the World's 50 Best Restaurants list sponsored by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna.

The video features other stunning dishes served at D.O.M. and an introduction to priprioca, an Amazonian root Atala blends with chocolate. Sit back, relax and enjoy this englightening speech from one of the world's best chefs:
