It opened quietly back in September but Albert Adrià's latest venture in Barcelona has already given much to talk about. Called Bodega 1900, the hole in the wall restaurant specializes in vermouth and tapas, two of the chef's greatest passions.

The name pays homage to the bodegas, small corner shops where one can grab a quick bite and a glass of vermouth, and the year of the building's construction. It's decorated to feel like a turn of the century tavern, which makes the 328-square feel locale even cozier.

Seafood, olives, cheeses  and Iberian ham are on the menu which features only fresh local seasonal foods. Adrià crafts the recipes and the chef himself brings the food out to guests. There are special touches everywhere - like the specialty ice cubes stamped with '1900' that go into every drink.

The restaurant has already garnered great reviews from El País, Spain's leading newspaper. Food critic José Carlos Capel raved about the chips served with vermouth sauce, crunchy algae rolls and calamari served in a kimchi sauce. He lauded the cuisine at Bodega 1900 as being the perfect blend of East and West.

As a special treat to prospective diners, the restaurant has published a gorgeous black and white promotional video that kind of reminds us of an old Charlie Chaplin film. It features a turn of the century gentleman driving up to the bodega and having a great time eating, singing and drinking. While there is some Spanish involved, the video is mostly musical so you'll get the gist. Watch:
