For the second year running, chef Nathan Outlaw’s eponymous restaurant set atop the small fishing village of Port Isaac, in Cornwall, Southwest England has topped The Good Food Guide’s list of the 50 best restaurants in the UK, beating stiff competition from restaurants from the likes of Gordon Ramsay, Clare Smyth and Claude Bosi.
The restaurant, which offers simply one six-course tasting menu, served at both lunch and dinner, celebrates the very best sustainable fish and seafood the region has to offer caught by small Cornish day boats.
Elegant without being showy, the restaurant’s food has won it many admirers, not least the Michelin Guide, with whom it currently holds two Michelin stars.
