No one does pesto like the Italians and that's for a reason: this chunky green sauce originated in the Ligurian coast. Use pesto in pastas, sandwiches, vinaigrettes and even with chicken and seafood.
This sauce is the Italian answer to Mexican pico de gallo. Fresh and sun-dried tomatoes are chopped and mixed with onions, garlic and a sprinkle of cayenne pepper.
