Ksenia Penkina has a knack for turning cakes into beautiful works of art. The world renown patissier creates mirror cakes that are glossy, colorful and mighty tempting.
The mesmerizing mirror glaze conceals layered mousse cakes carefully crafted with ingredients such as sponge cake, fruit fillings, cream and chocolate. The process takes three days and the shiny glaze is the ultimate icing on the cake.
Penkina, who is based in Vancouver, British Columbia, travels the world showcasing her beautiful cakes and teaching eager students how to make them. Her travels have taken her as far as Abu Dhabi and Moscow.
