A women sat in a saddle and riding a horse has been turned away from a Mcdonalds drive thru in Greater Manchester.
The woman initially trotted through the the drive thru where she was turned away by staff. Police say she then proceeded to take the horse into the fast food chain where it used the floor as a toilet.
The incident happened at the Mcdonalds store on Bury New Road, police say the sight and smell of the horse caused obvious distress to customers and that the woman was served a fixed penalty notice for causing distress to staff and the public.
In a statement Mcdonalds said we are unable to serve customers on horse back.
It seems that the chain are less Mcsaddle friendly than their chicken based counterparts over at KFC, who, in 2011, allowed Debbie Murden to use her horse and carriage to purchase food from one of their KFC drive thru outlets.
We understand them not letting horses in a food place but maybe they could have used this to take advantage of the new, healthy Mcdonalds menu and at least given the horse an apple.
What do you think, should horses be allowed at the drive thru?
