25 Traditional Japanese Egg Dishes to Try

Egg ('tamago' in Japanese) is an important component of Japanese cuisine, whether in omelette form atop sushi or as semi-set omurice, or oyakodon, floating in a delicous bowl of ramen, as a bind for katsu or in numerous desserts. All great dishes.

Fanny Chu from the Japanese Foodie blog loves them too. That's why she's created this infographic detailing 25 traditional Japanese egg dishes, along with, helpfully, the ingredients of each and how to pronounce them in both English and Japanese.

Chu also has a Kickstarter campaign running currently, where you can buy the below graphic as a poster. Be sure to check it out.

So how many of these traditonal Japanese egg dishes have you tried? Let us know over on our Facebook page.
