Okay, this is going to split the crowd: instant tea in a can.

No More Tea Bags is an instant tea in an aerosol–style can that the makers claim makes the perfect brew and is never underbrewed or stewed – the tea is brewed for a full five minutes during production. All you have to do is add hot water and milk and sugar if you prefer, or you could have it as an instant black tea. You simply add more No More Tea Bags if you want a stronger brew.

No More Fuss

The idea is to take the fuss out of tea–making says its creator Guy Woodall: “The convenience of not having to sit around and wait for your tea to brew is a major USP, but the technology we’ve used enables us to produce a tea with what we believe is a far superior taste to an ordinary teabag. According to research the average teabag is brewed for just 13 seconds, which isn’t anywhere near long enough to appreciate the flavour of real tea.”

We don’t know about you, but we quite enjoy the whole ritual of tea–making, despite the time it takes. We actually look forward to making the tea almost as much as drinking it. And, the teabag has been around since 1904 for a reason.

But, we’re open to innovation and look forward to giving this instant tea a whirl. It's available in original, Earl Grey and jasmine varieties, with a RRP of £3.50 – £4.20 for around 20 cups per can. No More Tea Bags will be soft launching through Cotswald Fayre this July.
