We'll rarely highlight the regular recipes such as chocolate cake on Best of The Blogs. That's because we prefer to hunt out some of the more unique recipes and culinary posts for the series.

Like this interesting ice pop recipe from A Spicy Perspective. The recipe is for Mexican Rice Pudding Ice Pops and calls for a mix of the traditional dessert of spiced mexican rice pudding and the more American based ice pop.

They're made with jasmine rice and sweetened with condensed milk, the recipe also calls for nutmeg, cinnamon and some golden raisins to give off that spicy Mexican flavoring.

We understand these are not your regular ice pops and they may not be for everyone but we think they're so unique, if not to be enjoyed on a hot summers day, what a great dessert to serve after a Mexican themed meal.

We hope you enjoy the Best of The Blogs.
