How to Make Soup in a Modernist Gastronomy Style

Modern Gastronomy has grown and grown in the past few years with spokespeople like Ferran Adria and Heston Blumenthal pushing the techniques to the masses.

In 2011 the mammoth six volume Modernist Cuisine  book was launched - a cook book / encyclopedia  which documents the history of modern gastronomy and offers recipes, guides and step-by-step guides to try modern cooking techniques at home.

With the book comes some great video recipes - we already brought you a great guide on how to microwave herbs in the microwave and now we've found this rather complex recipe for caramelized carrot soup. We warn you that it needs a centrifugal spinner and a pressure cooker but if you have these at hand it's a great way to impress guests with your knowledge of modernist cooking techniques.
