Have you ever wondered how induction cooking really works?

While putting a pot on an induction burner and watching its contents cook without fire may seem a bit like magic, there’s actually quite a lot of science behind it. This video from Animation Kitchen uses cool graphics to explain what happens during induction cooking. 

Induction cooking is a two-part process that involves an electromagnetic field and conductive cookware (such as ferrous pots). Placing the cookware on the burner creates currents which flow against the material and generate heat.
