Carluccio shows you how to make a simple pizza dough and tomato sauce with basil before getting to his trick for great homemade pizza.
Instead of baking the dough - something done best in very high wood fire ovens - Carluccio actually fries the dough in a mix of oils.
The result is a beautifully crispy pizza base perfect for the lacing with fresh tomato sauce and chunks of mozzarella.
