Foods Eaten in Japan That Aren't Sushi

Say Japanese cuisine and most people automatically think of sushi but it's not only the case with Japan's inhabitants eating a varied diet - ok rice is substantial - eaten by around 70% of people everyday - but it's not just sushi.

In this infographic designed by Hungry House, the online takeaway company set out a list of some of the other interesting ingredients and foods eaten across Japan.

Like the fact that they like to eat mayonnaise on top of pizza, that the British took curry there and it has become a national dish and the fact that also love to eat pancakes.

It's a nice look at the food eating habits that is too often seen as only eating sushi.
