The United Nations have declared 2016 the Year of the Pulses and what better way to celebrate than with one of the world's oldest and most popular pulses in a number of easy lentil recipes.

An important diet staple in many countries around the world, the lentil has high nutritional value being a great source of protein and carbohydrates perfect for a meat free diet. They're also rich in calcium, phosphorus, iron and B vitamins.
