The Differences in Chinese Cuisine

Chinese cuisine is more than spring rolls and fried rice, it's a cuisine full of tradition and rich heritage with many styles and regional differences in preparation and use of ingredients.

This infographic from the Z & Y Restaurant sers ot to look at some of the differences found in Chinese cuisine.

It looks at Cantonese, Szechuan, Hunan, Fujian, Beijing, Shandong and Shanghai cuisine - you may not know them - but this infographic highlights the many differences between each style of cuisine from heavy use of vegetable to styles that  like to use alcohol and spice.

This is a snapshot of a rich culinary culture and one that sheds some light on some of the differences found in Chinese food.
