Can you tell an ale from a pilsner just by looking at it? If beer colors get lost on you, here's a handy guide that will make you a beer connoisseur.

Beertone is play on the famous PANTONE color scale. It lets you classify beer by color, starting with the brightest and lightest beers and ending with the darkest of them all. This way you'll never be confused about the difference between a stout and a porter again.

Each Beertone card features the name of the beer, alcohol content, the brewery and information about the bottle design.  This genius invention was the product of a collaboration between two friends and beer lovers, Alex Michelbach from Brazil and Daniel Eugster from Switzerland.

You can preorder your own beer color guide on the Beertone website for $39.
