If you see yourself as a bit of a forager then you’ll know how important it is to have a strong knowledge of what you can and can’t pick. There’s tens of thousands of wild ingredients found all over the world but knowing which varieties are safe and which ones to avoid can be a matter of life and death.
We’d never recommend picking and eating anything wild unless you are certain you know what it is, especially when talking fungi. However, there are many common, safe and tasty ingredients that we can forage and this infographic does a great job of highlighting some of the best.
Created by UK Oak Doors, the Survival Guide is a set of instruction on which plants you should and, more importantly, which plants you shouldn’t eat when in the wild.
It lists 18 different wild plants and offers intersections on how to find it, eat it and special notes on some of the common uses for each one.
