You wouldn't pour wine into just any glass, would you? Neither would you do the same with water. When conducting a water tasting, the vessel you are drinking it from is of outmost importance. None other than glass will do.

Glass is the only material that allows for the proper tasting of still water or sparking mineral water such as Acqua Panna and S. Pellegrino, respectively. Other factors affecting your glass choice should be the thinness of the lips and whether or not it should have a stem (hint: stemless is best).
