Famous chefs do it, foodies in the know do it too. What are we referring to? Cooking with seasonal ingredients, of course! If seasonal cooking is your passion, look no further than The Ethicurean Cookbook.
The book takes its name from The Ethicurean Restaurant, located in a walled garden in the breathtaking Mendip Hills in Somerset, England.
The restaurant sits below a lush Georgian estate dotted with roses. It was opened by four friends who believe in eating seasonal, sustainable, local foods in new and inspiring ways. They've shared 120 unique recipes inspired by the bounty of the Walled Garden.
Naturally, the dishes change with the seasons so you'll find enticing recipes for beetroot carpaccio with honeyed walnuts, rabbit confit with loveage breadcrumbs, and pineapple, turmeric and ginger glazed ham with 'Picalilly.' Recipes this playful are surely a joy to eat.
