The moment you put food in your mouth, your sensory receptors are stimulated. But what if your fork or spoon could provide additional stimulation?
That's the principle behind a new line of odd spoons and forks by designer Jinhyun Jeon. Using elements like spikes and unconventional shape, Jeon hopes to boost the flavor of food by stimulating additional senses.
The innovative design is actually based on synesthesia, a ''neurological condition where stimulus to one sense can affect one or more other senses,'' Jeon explains on his website.
Would you give these odd forks and spoons sounds a try?
