Controlling Art with a Dinner Plate

In this interesting project at Dizajn, a concept store that shows off students' work from the FH Mainz (University of Applied Sciences in Germany), people can scan their way through interesting art project using a plate, cups and cutlery to control how they view art on a screen in front of them.

The basic idea is that each plate has 5 different categories on the back, placed on the main unit the plate tell the computer what art to project on a big screen in front of the user.

By moving the plate and adding cups and cutlery to the table the user can control exactly how they view the art.

It's an interesting idea that provides people with a different perspective of viewing art through the very common idea of sitting at a table to eat.
