Every week we like to bring you the finest Instagram food porn to grace the photo–sharing app and this week we have an especially elegant selection, as befitting a week in which the culinary marvel that is Massimo Bottura’s Osteria Francescana took home the coveted title of World’s Best Restaurant at The Worlds’s Best Restaurants 2016 in New York. Francesco Mattucci has become something of an Instagram star with his amazing Kitchensuspension project, which he shoots in his kitchen in Modena, Italy. You can read more about the project here, but don’t expect him to reveal his secrets.

Berber & Q in East London gave us their tip for the sunset drink everyone will be sipping in the UK capital this summer: Mexican Mezcal. The restaurant actually specialises in Middle Eastern and North African meats and mezze, but apparently Mezcal goes great with the sweet and smoky flavours on their menu. Here’s a dainty little bird’s nest of a dessert.

Osteria Francescana, the three star Italian restaurant in Modena, Italy headed by the charismatic chef-owner Massimo Bottura was this week crowned World’s Best Restaurant for the first time, having come within a whisker of the title in recent years. La Sirena, at the Maritime Hotel in Chelsea, is Mario Batali’s first restaurant in New York since Eataly. This is Baba al Campari – "Citrus and Campari-soaked Neapolitan cake with bergamot, grapefruit and basil gelato.”
