AquaSprouts: The Cool Indoor Garden

As more and more of us look to grow our own fruits, vegetables and herbs at home the number of inventions that help us start an indoor garden are also on the rise.

An indoor garden allows people with little outdoor space to grow their own ingredients without the need for a traditional plot of land. Instead they use a number of technologies to emulate sun light or provide the nutrients normally sucked up from the earth.

The latest indoor garden invention to catch our eye is the AquaSprouts, an Aquaponic indoor garden that combines a fish tank and garden space in one.

The makers of AquaSprouts say the device is able to grow all sorts of ingredients from tomato to lettuce, herbs and even flowers.

The team behind the invention are currently looking for funding on Kickstarter but with $48,000 pledged already for a $60,000 goal - it seems pretty certain they’ll hit their goal. Those who order the early bird AquaSprouts kit should receive their order by January 2015.
