Game Of Thrones Cookbook: A Medieval Feast From Tv To Table

The hit television series Game of Thrones is coming to a kitchen near you. If watching the American medieval drama series doesn't quench your appetite for adventure, we hope this does: The Unofficial Game of Thrones Cookbook: From Direwolf Ale to Auroch Stew, More Than 150 Recipes From Westeros and Beyond.

Fans will rejoice in having a kitchen companion to Game of Thrones that was written by fellow fan Alan Kistler. But how exactly does one go about creating recipes from a Medieval fantasy world where people eat things like Khaleesi's Heart and Targaryen Dragon Mead? No one really knows. What is remarkable is that Alan was able to put so many recipes together for hungry fans.

The Unofficial Cookbook was published ahead of the soon-to-be released official cookbook of the show, which airs on the U.S. cable network HBO and was inspired by the George R. R. Martin novels. The official Game of Thrones Cookbook is titled A Feast of Fire & Ice and will feature authentic medieval recipes. The book wll be released later this month.
