Celebrated Argentine chef and grill master Francis Mallmann shares 100 fabulous recipes cooked over live fire in his latest cookbook Mallmann on Fire. Known for cooking with wood fire and cast iron, Mallmann on Fire offers meals prepared in exotic locales around the world - from Paris and Brazil to a deserted island in Patagonia.

His fascinating dishes include meats hung from strings, coal-roasted squash, grilled fish and rustic desserts cooked in wood-fired ovens. It's a type of cuisine Anthony Bourdain defines “elemental, fundamental, and delicious.”

Mallmann practices open-flame cooking at his three restaurants in South America: 1884 Francis Mallmann 1884  in Mendoza, Argentina (which ranks 37th on Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants list); Patagonia Sur in Buenos Aires; and the hotel and restaurant Garzón in Uruguay.
