Anthony Bourdain is known for his crazy stories of debauchery, wild anecdotes that involves a number of chefs and exploring the globe to test out and hunt down culinary gems. His latest series, Layover, on the Travel Channel, sees the globetrotter explore a number of the worlds biggest cities with just 48-hours to cram as much eating into his trip as possible.
Ahead of the launch of the second season of Layover the chef and his team have produced the Layover app - a smart phone application that offers tips and advice to have your very own Bourdain style layover in one of ten cities.
Amsterdam, Hong Kong, London, Los Angeles, Miami, Montreal, New York, Rome, San Francisco, and Singapore are all given the Bourdain once over as he offers tips from luxurious swanky restaurants to beat up carts on the side of the road. There's advice on pricing and opening times and even maps to help you users explore.
Reviews on the app store are strong as it seems many people want the chance to travel like Mr Bourdain.
