Ultra-Realistic Fake Cabbage, Japan

A video online that shows a Japanese worker at a plastic food factory making cabbage has racked up over 1 million views on YouTube.

The man uses chemicals and wax that are floated in water before being formed into the correct shape. A green dye is also used and diluted to give the pail green colour associated with a fresh cabbage.

From the little information available about the video it seems the food is intended for replica use and not to be eaten but we are a little worried in the office about fake foods that look so much like the real thing. Let's hope a second video titled: 'how to make fake cabbage taste real' doesn't emerge in the future.
