The Dishoom restaurant, described as a Bombay cafe in London, is giving customers the chance to add their own food experiences to be added to a range of plates that will be used to serve food in the restaurant.
The idea was started after the company decided to create 80 plates with people's personal memories of experiences inside Irani cafes in India. Cafes where you can apparently buy tea so sweet the spoon stands upright in the cup.
The idea, which was created by OgilvyOne Uk, was to capture the memories of the older generation in Bombay and the UK and share them in a unique way.
Inspired by the 80 plates that are already displayed in Dishoom customers can now submit their own experiences after designing plates online. The best ones will eventually make it on to the restaurant's tables.
