If you really want to impress the guests at your next dinner party and have them all wowed at your interesting style, why not serve them all a cold dessert on a set of these dinner plates carved from volcanic stone.
Designed by the architect Caterina Moretti and Ana Saldana, the plates have been polished by hand to take the ‘wild stone texture’ of the volcanic stone and and turn it into a ‘sensible and human object’.
Beautifully designed, they’re all shaped differently and come with a brass accent that can be used to hold a candle. They work as plates on there own and also stack nicely as a set with the deign so appealing they could easily sit as an ornament.
They are produced by Peca, an independent design studio that is based in Guadalajara, Mexico. The set of three plates are currently priced at the rather odd figure of $193.1 on the Peca website.
