When it comes to luxury, nothing says debauchery like champagne. Perhaps that's why British-Nigerian artist Yinka Shonibare MBE chose it as a medium for his Dreaming Rich collection.
The collection features a globe-headed mannequin dressed in snazzy clothes doing handstands, climbing on furniture and exhibiting all sorts of wild behavior while clasping a bottle of champagne. This 'champagne kid' is meant to be ''a colorful critique of the tainted luxury and greed that has led the world into a critical state,'' according to Design Boom.
Shonibare's champagne kid will be exhibited at Hong Kong's Pearl Lam Galleries from November 19th until January 9th, 2014.
