If you’re intolerant to gluten, eating out, choosing new dishes and trusting the food you’re eating doesn’t contain gluten can be tricky.
Which is why 6SensorLabs is developing a device that can quickly test food for certain allergens and report the information back to the user through a simple mobile app.
The device is called Canary and will cost around $150 with the first device aimed at testing food for gluten.
The company behind the device are also aim to build an app that will allow users to share the dishes they’ve tested, building a map of gluten free food around the world.
Canary is expected to launch early in 2015.
